The idea that it gets better is wrong :( for me it has inky gotten worse
I personally think it goes up and down and everytime we are down we think were at are worse but if we are in recovery we notice that our downs are getting less and less bad. You have to fight and try your best to get out of the downward spiral it's hard it almost seems impossible sometimes and you question why were alive when life is so terrible but there's a whole world out there I know I've seen it hold on for that beautiful beach or that special person looking for you
