my advice (in my opinion) to when you should give up is when that person doesnt give u the fullest attention that u seek, she/he has a crush, when they have a boyfriend, or when they rejected you. Other than that, i think you shouldnt give, patience is needed if this person doesnt like you back.. yet :)
