I'm not sure. Probably not. I've never believed in Christian faith, so I don't see why I should need the approval of a christian Church to declare that I love my significant other? At the end of the day, you're just spending too much time, money and effort on something that exists anyway? Who inspired you to pick up the guitar, also who inspires you to keep playing and wanting you to progress to get to another level?
I would have to say Angus Young or Gene Simmons (even though he plays bass). KISS and AC/DC were a massive part of my childhood, and I'd always admired the atmosphere from the videos of their shows. I decided to actually start playing after seeing AC/DC live. I suppose I'd almost given up after about a year, and then I picked up a Pantera CD from somewhere. I fell in love with it (bearing in mind that the heaviest thing I'd ever heard was Back In Black). I was then gifted a Learn-To-Play DVD/Magazine with 4 Pantera songs on it (Walk, Cowboys From Hell, Mouth For War and Cemetery Gates) and I took to learning them. Dimebag's solo work in Cowboys From Hell was what made me think about going into playing lead guitar and to this day I'm still learning little tricks and hints from him. I'd have to say either Zakk Wylde or Alexi Laiho inspire me to keep practicing, as well as the fact of just the sheer fun of playing! Zakk's just got the best attitude towards it, and Alexi has some impressive techniques which I will learn :L
