Let's say somebody has a drinking problem. What would be your best advice?
Talk to someone you really trust to assist you. It is always going to be hard at first with trying to stop and it also takes time to "cure".
If there is ever a time you really wanted to drink, don't. Instead try doing something more healthier (talking to a friend, writing down your thoughts). Distract yourself.
Although I have never dealt with it myself, I can understand why certain people would want to drink when they are unhappy/upset- to just forget what happened. I've tried a lot just to forget the bad stuff and in the long run it does not go away. It just builds up more and more till its unbearable. I've reached this place as well. Therapy definitely helps this. Its physical/emotional support that you may lack from others.
In the end, all I can say is that it's not worth drinking away your problems- or doing anything that is unhealthy. Try to figure out other ways (like I said) that are healthier.
And it will be worth it ♡
