People aren't really lonely. They place themselves into that pit of despair due to not having someone to love them, while they can use the love that their willing to give away onto another to love themselves.
A real connection is something which is formed in the mind, heart and soul, where you feel that every fibre of your being lives to be with that person. Connecting with someone on a higher level of intellectual understanding is so much more beautiful than only loving someone's physical attributes. Looks aren't all that people have to offer.
It's hard to make such connections because people just don't understand each other. Sometimes the one you want isn't the one you need to form such a bond. Such things are rare and come when you least expect it. All you need is patience.

You, yourself is your biggest enemy at times. It's all about having a productive mindset that puts you in a state of trying to achieve what you always dream of.

If you just make the decision of being persistent and consistent towards whatever it is that you're after, the most likely you are to achieving great things.
If you can picture something in your mind and make that mental change to get there, then you're already halfway there.

Comparing their kids to other people's children. I mean...we all are different in our very own way, why should you be compared to someone completely different in most aspects? That breaks you down and makes you feel not good enough because whatever you do has to be an exact replica of that "ideal" person.
Parents should understand that everyone was made unique, and what their kids might lack in one trait, they pack in another.
