Any tips on fighting the urge of cutting?ive already done a lot and don't seem to want to stop
Whenever you get the urge to, distract yourself. do homework or go outside. Even leaving your room or wherever you are to go be with your family would put you in a better mood. If distracting yourself isn't working, think to yourself-do you really deserve to getting hurt? Especially by yourself. At the end of the day, you're the only one there for yourself, you need to treat yourself with respect :) think of it this way. Nothing seems to be going right in your life and on top of that there's someone who is putting you down, telling you you're worthless. They sink you into this depression and each day they forcefully cut your wrists and there's nothing you can do about it. This "someone" is you right now. You would never let someone do that to you so please don't tell yourself that you're going to let yourself do it. You're so much better than that. Also you can talk to a friend that you know you can trust. I guarantee you that if you tell a friend they're going to tell you to stop and of course they wouldn't want you hurting yourself and you hurting yourself hurts them-even if you dont realize it. If you can't stop for yourself, make them your reason to quit. Quit because you don't want to disappoint them or yourself. It will work. Just remember to treat yourself with the most respect you can and love yourself no matter what because that skin you're cutting is beautiful and its you. Leave it unscarred. Quit for the relief you'll get afterwards and for how proud you will be able to feel. Stay strong
