It depends what you define as alive, but it is for sure that we have a curtain energy in us, wich makes us, your body is not just funCtioning on its own, is it, hell no! All we are is information in an endless reality, so we have to have a "conciousness" or form of energy to be able to exist in this reality. Now for all that we know, we could be a simulation, no one truly knows the awnser, but to awnser your question from my point of view, we are like a file on a memory stick, we are not neccecarely a live and active piece of information but we still exist. Even if we are not "alive" we still exist in the informationall abyss called the universe/reality
