Awe thanks so much! I haven’t had too many people say anything about it. I feel like in the dance industry in general it’s much more common to have friends of all ages, and while I do have dancer friends who are younger than me, I have quite a few who are the same age or older as well, so I guess it all kinda balances out

I was SHOCKED that amazing dancers like Avery Gay, Selena Hamilton, Sami Sonder, the Couch sisters, Janae H, and more didn’t make the top 20 at TDA. That just shows how crazy competitive the dance industry is!
Avery Gay didn’t compete lol, and Selena made top 20, but yeah there was some pretty insane competition and so many phenomenal dancers who didn’t make top 20 & 10

Uh do you have an example because I actually don’t remember the lady’s time I forgot a birthday. If I don’t post for one of my faves it’s because I don’t have the time or energy it takes to make them an edit or write out an entire post. Plus you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. might sound weird, but do know any black dancers? My little sister started ballet and is self conscious cause she is the only black girl. Showing her dancers like Kamryn Smith and Misty Copeland really brightened her mood. Do you know more?

I know plenty of BEAUTIFUL black or mixed dancers, Selena Hamilton, Devynn Lewis, Aricela Boatwright, Imani Edwards, Paris Moore, Victoria Johnson, Jordyn Rockett, Imani & Nia Lindsay, and soooooo many more, those were just some of the first few that came to mind!! please feel free to dm me though about more names, or if I could do anything else to make her feel empowered and loved, reading this message broke and melted my heart at the same time♥️ I would also recommend showing her the page @browngirlsdoballet it’s super empowering to young dancers of colour and I think seeing a page like that could really boost her confidence!

hate the show, love the s8 kids and a few others. but not a fan at all of the show itself, abby, or production. (and the moms that I know personally, I love, but I don’t know enough about most of them to form an actual opinion that isn’t based on scripted “reality” tv)

well that’s more of a question for the casting directors than anything lol but I guess there were a lot of factors going into it (talent ofc, but also height so that they could be matched properly with a partner and many other factors) all of the kids auditioned though!

ofcccccc I’m hoping there’s a season 2!! and I’m not sure, personally I loooooove the cast from last season and would want all of them to stay, but it would be cool to see some new junior pros join as well! I would love to see some more of the center stage kids (bryten, mya, taylor etc.), katie & kenz couch, makaia roux, savannah kristich & others join the cast if they do have a season 2, but not in replacement of anyone from season one, just to grow the cast!

because I didn’t have time. I literally haven’t posted a birthday edit for 90% of my faves. Savannah, Aricela, even Gracyn who’s bday was in October and soooooo many more still haven’t gotten their edits done. I don’t think they have a required number of pieces, Molly puts them in dances. Yes they have to go to all of the full team comps (unless they have an important reason not to) , and they can ofc go optional comps as well. They take class I think 3 nights a week. These questions would be better suited for Molly herself though lol

It’s kinda driving me CRAZY how it’s only cookie-cutter perfect white kids with Abbey. They treated Nia badly, underestimated Camryn and made Nicaya look like a fool. And got rid of Kamryn early. This is such a toxic show for little black girls
This show is toxic for any kid, regardless of race. Yes, every single black kid was treated horribly, and it’s absolutely disgusting, but not a single kid on that show was every treated the way they should have been. It’s a toxic, abusive & hostile environment.

Depends on who. People like Sophia Lucia tbh I’ve completely lost interest in, but there are plenty of dancers who only do their school dance team or don’t do comp anymore who I still love and support just as much. (Every P21 kid who left the team to focus on school or whatever I still adore and follow them very closely). I guess it really depends on how attached I’ve gotten to them personality wise.

I feel like Jamieson doesn’t fit in the mini groups, she’s too tall and that’s distracting, she should be with the juniors
She does dance with the juniors as well. Groups look better with 5 dancers than 4, and Jamieson was an obvious choice since she was a P21 mini last season. She’s only a year apart from Laci & Madison. She’s just taller. I honestly love watching her in these groups, she kills the choreo!!

Christie chose to buy Katie’s video because it was her best time doing it all season, and she was the only junior at that comp to receive the adjudication she got, so it was something to be celebrated and shared with all of their followers!! Just like last year when Kam got one point away from a perfect score at 24/7, her solo was bought and posted but not the others. Buying the pics and videos is expensive, so unless it’s a very special occasion, usually Christie doesn’t buy them.

Honestly there are so so many that I’ve gotten close with, I think too many to name on here. If you want to dm me I would love to chat with you, but it’s kinda hard to name every single one of my good friends on the spot haha. I would say though that a good portion of them currently dance or used to dance at either P21 or The Rock, but definitely not all of them!!
