What are really good degrees to study that has great earning potential for average (just above average) pupils?
To be honest, I really have no idea ?? you shouldn't limit yourself though.. with just a little extra hard work and commitment you can become way above average, and you could be a doctor, lawyer or whatever you want ?? also, I know you've probably heard this a million times but seriously.. don't pursue something for the money, do something you love, something you're passionate about. Trust me, I learnt this the hard way. And if you haven't figured out what that is yet, don't waste your time getting a degree just for the sake of getting one.. take a gap year. maybe even two or three gap years. You can always get a degree at a later stage. Sorry I couldn't answer your actual question but I hope this helps ?

I have nothing against other people smoking weed, almost everyone does it at times. I just choose not to do it myself, mainly because it's prohibited in my religion and I don't want to add any unnecessary sins to my name. The second thing is that regular use of any intoxicating substance leads to a decrease in dopamine levels in the long run. (The main chemical in your body that's associated with motivation) .. that's why a lot of people say that weed makes you lazy. I can give you a loooong list of other reasons if you like but at the end of the day it's "different strokes for different folks" .. if you truly feel it's beneficial to you, and it's going to get you further in life, then it's all good ?

Is it true that physics learners are always given first preference when applying to uct, like even for eg. Bcom? and there's no value for business studies as it's regarded as "easy"
Example 1:
person A gets 60% for physics. Person B gets 60% for business science. The fact that person A took a "difficult" subject means nothing, because they didn't even do well at it. However, even though person B didn't do well either, it still counts for something because they took a "recommended subject". Therefore, person B gets preference.
Example 2:
Person A gets 90% for physics. Person B gets 90% for business science.
Even though physics has very little to do with Bcom, the fact that person A got such a good mark for such a "difficult" subject gives them MAJOR credibility. Hardly anyone does that well in physics so they have a very good chance of being accepted. However, even though person B also got a very good mark, it doesn't mean much since business science is an "easy" subject and there are thousands of other people who did well in it. Therefore person A gets preference.

then the night before the test ill prepare my A$$ off, then the day of test, they prepare lit nothing and still beat me (straight As)
If someone works for an hour more than you do each day, for a month, they will have a total of 30 hours more practice than what you have.. that's why the night before a test really doesn't matter at all. It's all about consistency, you might prepare a lot the night before but they've been preparing for weeks already

How do some people manage to do so well in school and I like try my very best, like lets say i came from tuitons, then ill practise at home untill i get it
1: some people are just naturally faster learners than others unfortunately (it's kinda unfair actually but you probably have other strengths that they don't have so it's all good)
2: you probably don't have a very good tutor to be honest, a good tutor is actually very hard to find
3: the most important thing is consistency - that includes working hard in class and at home every single day
