Not much; just went for a cruise, smoked a cuban and having a couple of quiet drinks now. You?
Uhm, most mornings I sleep through breakfast lol
For what reason?
I don't know hahaha
Hmm, pretty impartial to be honest.
Hmm, pizza is pretty good! Home made pizza is the best though!
Tuesday I think :)
You are ;)
Nope, woke up with a mad hangover and rushed to work, where I have been ever since. Haven't really had a chance, even if I had of wanted to lol
Why am I not one to be saying what marriage should be? Surely we are entitled to our own opinions.
But what about people who don't want kids? Sounds like the whole basis of your argument revolves around the fact that a man and woman get married to have kids. Not everyone wants/needs a kid to make them happy. The way you put it made it sound like people were put on earth with the sole purpose of making babies.
Hahaha, pretty sure I detect some sarcasm there :P And no probably not, just did it for a joke with the guys at the hall.
I'm right-handed, work it out.
Erm. Naah
Alright....
Next time I do it I will time for you ok
Not anything I can think of atm hahahaha
How is what a stupid thing to say? If you are referencing the person who was linking homose*uals being allowed to marry to people being able to marry their pets, marry more than one person or marry within a family then I think you need to take a long look at your own morales.
1. An animal can not consent, can not sign anything, can not vow and therefore cannot marry. Also, bestiality is wrong and messed up on so many different levels.
2. Polygamy is a practice that used to be widespread but marriage is supposed to be a bond between two people, supposedly for eternity. Not between three or four or five or whatever.
3. Marriage within a family raises all sorts of problems such as genetic disorders and disfigured growth. This basically opens any possible child up for all forms of bullying and haras*ment, which is unfair.
You are literally too stupid to insult.
Not really lol, try to keep it tidy ya know
Not while sober, can't really account for my actions while drunk lol
I know what it means lol, and probably more of a grower.
Thanks haha
Not really?
Hahahaha when? And thanks :P
Uhh yup
Nice to know...
Where was the question? I honestly can't believe that someone would be so stupid as to as*ociate homose*uality with incest, bestiality and polygamy; which is exactly what you did. Like how do you even see a connection there? I am fighting for equal rights. I am not fighting for people to be able to marry their own family, animals or multiple people because for one, it is messed up and wrong; and secondly that is not what the issue is about; and thirdly, no-one else is even fighting for that so why bring it up?
Stop. Now make that motherf***er hammertime
Coooool
No don't leave meeee
Eloquent.
Nope
What's wrong with that?
Me neither :/
Hahahahahaha aww, s*cks for you lol
Does me and both my hands count?
Hmm, in that sense, nope
I'd much rather a big taco
Yea, I'll be there in like 20 hours lol
What? lol
I am! lol
Obviously... noot haha
No, at what point did I say that? Don't be ridiculous, you are putting words in my mouth now..
By the way, animals can't consent, so technically they can't marry someone.
There is a difference between what is just plain wrong, and what is perfectly natural and therefore deserves equal rights.
Seriously though, that is a pretty stupid statement to make, honestly. Smh.
Nope. I am not a 'british colloquial term for a cigarette'.
Hypothetically, if I was, what would it matter?
Who loves me? lol
Uhm well this is cute. Any clues as to who this is?
Aww, thanks for your input anon :')
Who is this?
If I actually do hate you, there is probably a valid reason, chances are I don't though.
Without a frame of reference, bit hard for me to say...
Without knowing who you are, it's a little hard to answer that :P
Because they are humans, like you and me, and are therefore entitled to equal rights. If we deny them that, then we may as well go all the way back to when slavery and segregation was rife; and when women had no rights, because that is the same sort of situation as is currently happening - discrimination. Obviously, we are past the stage of denying women their rights, and segregating darker skinned people, because we have realised that all humans are equal, and no-one deserves better treatment than anyone else based on their gender, ethnicity or se*ual preference.
And as for me being gay, think what you want, I really don't care. For the record, I am straight, but if you are trying to insult me by calling me gay then it is not working, because there is really nothing wrong with homose*uality and therefore implying that I am is not an insult.
I miss having her as a friend and someone I could talk to, but I don't miss our relationship if that's what you mean.
Everyone! Although most of my best friends aren't there anymore haha. I miss my family and my dogs the most probably.
There are worse things in the world...
Anyone* your* you* with?*
Talk to me then?
You're* ;) and thanks :P
Aww, who is this?
Guess.
Why all these questions about this!! I really don't know, some weeks, maybe some weeks nope.
Eww nope lol
Nope.
A couple.
Who can't?
Not on a regular basis nope, but an occasional tidy up if I feel like it.
Firstly, I am not "picking a fight". This is a debate, and I chose to focus on a point you made in my rebuttal of your last comment.
Secondly, how am I taking these verses out of context? I am quoting them exactly as they appear in the bible. And you're right, I don't know the full background; care to elaborate?
Also, I note that YOU are calling ME closed minded. I find that incredibly ironic and hypocritical considering I am the one who is immeasurably more liberally minded than you. My mind is not closed, my mind is entirely open. If at any point I encounter firm evidence which supports fundamentalism, theologism or religion, as opposed to the current firm evidence which supports evolution then I will change my stance, but only on the religion aspect.
Never will my view on equal rights be changed. The reason for this firm stance, which you appear to have interpreted as 'close-mindedness' is this:
If you believe that god created all life, but is against homose*uality, supposedly saying that people who practice it are sinners and deserve punishment; why did he create homose*uals?
Quick side-note, if you are one of those people who believe that homose*uality is a choice, then think again. With the current social stance on homose*uality, and the views of some quick outspoken homophobic people, do you honestly think that anyone would choose to be homose*ual? I know of people who have attempted to kill themselves, and some who have succeeded because they couldn't live with the thought that they were going to be rejected by society for their se*uality. Do you think they just woke up one day, and decided 'You know what? I'm going to be gay.', realised that typically, society unfortunately has a negative view of homose*uality; and then decided that they couldn't live with that anymore and tried to take their own lives? No they didn't. People are born gay. 1 in 10 people are born gay. There is nothing they can do to change that.
Back to the main train of thought, if you believe that god created all life, including the 450 other animal species that exhibit homose*ual behaviour, and therefore homose*uality itself, why did he only create homophobia in one species? It doesn't make any sense. At all.
The bible is full of contradictions, stating in one verse that god says homose*uals should be punished, and in another that god created all life; and therefore by extended logic, homose*uality. Why would he create something and then condemn it?
Haha, thanks :P
Nope
Hahaha nope, I think you need like the lower 4 ribs removed or something haha
Uhhhm it\'s ok I guess.
Nope I don\'t hahaha
Not sure, I certainly hope so lol
3) "If a man lies with a woman during her sickness and uncovers her nakedness, he has discovered her flow, and she has uncovered the flow of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from her people." (Leviticus 20:18) That is a little bit unreasonable...
(I copied some of these references from another site, hence the bit about the hubby being deported etc...)
Thanks! :)
Why should I stop talking about the bible? Because I am beating you at your own game of quoting out of it? We? Who is we? Specifically you or Christian people in general? You say you "don't believe in homose*uality"? Pardon my french, but how the f*** can you not believe in homose*uality. Homose*uality is not something you can choose not to believe in. Homose*uality exists, might I remind you, in over 450 animal species, including humans. You can not not believe in it. You can however be a homophobe, which is what it appears you are, choosing to hide behind your religion to disguise the fact that you have no real reason for rejecting the presence of homose*uality. There is a quote that goes something along the lines of "I hate the word homophobia. It’s not a phobia. You are not scared. You are an as*hole." This is reputedly said by Morgan Freeman, and I tend to agree. Homose*uality is there, you obviously recognize it is there, otherwise we would not be having this conversation, yet you continue to say you do not believe in homose*uality. It doesn't make any sense. Oh, and for the record; yes I did just imply that you are an as*hole for your views. You say you believe in the bible? The bible? Nothing more specific? In that case i would like to draw your attention back to the Leviticus chapter which is full of, to put it simply, rubbish.
The two verses in Leviticus that seem to relate to homose*uality are as follows: "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination," (Leviticus 18:22) and "If a man lie with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13). Both of the above quotes are taken literally by people such as yourself, when trying to make a point about homose*uality.
The following verses are not, thankfully taken literally:
1) "For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him."
(Leviticus 20:9) Does this mean we should actually kill every child who has disrespected their parent? I would be firmly in hell by now if that verse were interpreted literally, as would nearly everyone. Notice how close this verse is to the second homophobic verse quoted above - only 3 verses prior to this verse that you obviously do not take literally.
2) "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property." (Leviticus 25:44-45) So, I guess this means it's ok to own slaves?
3) "If a man lies with a woman during her sickness and uncovers her nakedness, he has discovered her flow, and she has uncovered the flow of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from her people." (Leviticus 20:18)Guess hubby and I will be deported from the state of Maryland.
4) "Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard." (Leviticus 19:27) Alrighty then, looks like I will be rocking a side mullet and a wide beard!
5) "...and the swine, though it divides the hoof, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud, is unclean to you." (Leviticus 11:7) I've been eating unclean pork meat for most of my life. Looks like I'm not going to heaven...
6) "...do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear material woven of two kinds of material." (Leviticus 19:19) Those farmers who plant more than one kind of seed are sinning (even though it's far more ecologically prudent to plant something other than a monocrop!) In addition, I guess I better go get rid of any clothes that might have a mix of materials in them for fear of doing something sinful. Hmm, now what am I supposed to wear tomorrow?
7) "But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you." (Leviticus 11:10) I guess this means no more shrimp or lobster for me since that's sinful as well . In fact, just like a man lying with a man, it's an abomination. Certain birds and insects are also abominations. We should just get rid of it all! Solves that problem! *insert sarcasm here*
If the bible says that a man should not lie with a man, then reasoning would tell me that that person should eat no shellfish or pork, wear only 100% cotton (or other material) clothes, never have se* during a woman's period or risk deportation (to where?,) be killed if s/he dares to disrespect a parent, own slaves, plant more than one crop in a particular place, or shave a beard and cut the sides of the hair. I'm not seeing too many fundamentalist Christians who follow all of these 'rules' from Leviticus. In fact, I know of NO-ONE who follows all the rules. Are they all going to hell?
It is partly because of these hypocritical inconsistencies with Christianity, particularly the homophobic fundamentalist ones, that have caused me to become atheist.
I have several gay friends and I believe that my friends are no more 'sinful' than any other friends I may have, including those who consider themselves to be 'Christian.'
So please, enlighten me as to why you literally interpret some bible verses, but not all of them. Is this hypocrisy? Yes it is.
TL;DR: Boom.
Ok first of all. Grow some and actually talk to me through Facebook or something. Hiding behind anonymous doesn't prove anything except the fact that you aren't convinced enough by your own argument to back it publicly.
Just because I don't read the bible does not mean that I don't understand it, and how out of date most of its messages are. You say that "(you) believe what god has told (you)" but the problem is that god has not actually told you anything. You read a book, which is reputed to be the messages of god, and as*ume everything in it to be factual. However in reality, god has not 'told' you anything; and I strongly believe that if he did exist, and could communicate with us, he would want us to be accepting of everyone and all our differences; and not discriminate based on se*ual preference.
Ok well done, you managed to find a couple of lines in a book written thousands of years ago that support your own homophobic views. Notice that it also talks about liars? Can you tell me, in absolute honesty, that you have never ever told a lie? I seriously doubt that. In one of your other quotes that you sent, it talks about idolaters and adulterers. Can you honestly tell me that you have never idolised someone? You are obviously quite religious, surely you idolise your god? And adultery, I am not implying that you have ever done it, but I would like to point out that it happens far too much. Way way too much. Yet what is being done about that? Are adulterers being shunned and denied equal rights? No they are not? Therefore homose*uals should not have that treatment happen to them. You seem to be forgetting, as I mentioned to Colin King, that the bible is just a book, and in fact, Christianity is quite simply the largest cult in the world. Now don't get me wrong, I respect people of all religions, provided I have respect for that person individually. It doesn't bother me what god, if any, that person believes in. But when that belief causes the unjust prejudice of different people, that is when I lose respect for that person. At the end of the day, the bible is a life guide and I will not contest the fact that it has very important lessons in it, but also it has messages which seem to be deeply rooted in the past. I think you are also forgetting that without the oppression of Science by the Church over the last 4 or 5 hundred years, humanity would be so much more advanced than it currently is. Therefore, those verses are essentially invalidated.
Blenheim is boringer though! And I am going home for a bit :)
Ok, quote at me exactly where it says in the bible that \"homose*uality is wrong\". If it says it throughout the whole thing you should be able to find three or four quotes.
I wouldn\'t have said often, maybe only 14 or 15 times a day? Depends on my mood.
No, I wank to peanut butter sandwiches and easter eggs.... Of course I wank to p*rn.
If I'm in the mood, sure...
