no, thats a personal choice if you are or not, buddha does not encourage eating meat as its causing pain and suffering for a living creature but mainly if your the one who killed the animal or it was killed directly for you. i would most definate go vegetarian anyday but sometimes i have to eat meat but hardly :) but yeah you dont really even though it is encouraged
