Headphones or earphones?
It really depends. Open back headphones are best in terms of sound quality but they leak out a lot. Closed back headphones aren't too bad but because they're closed bass can buildup and colour the sound quite a bit. Those oldish apple earphones are cancer coz they never stay in and leak a lot. Budded earphones are great!! But again they colour quite a bit. In ear monitors are probably the best option if you want goood quality and discreteness of earphones but they are very expensive, colour the sound a tad and can be hard to take on and off constantly if you want to talk to your friends. But if you really like music to the point where you spend $200+ on earphones, are you really gonna be talking to your friends instead of listening to music????
