How do you react when you encounter a homeless person?
Gonna get deep here when I cross paths with a homeless person I immediately feel guilty for all the things i take for granted and for all the privileges I have within life that i have never had to work for that have just been handed to me but very soon after i feel upset because the situation that they must be in would be utterly torturous having to look in trash cans for food, begging passes by for money and living in fear of their lives every day. after the guilt and upset subsides i begin to wonder what got them into the situation they're in were they honest hard working citizens that lost their jobs and were forced into a life of homelessness or were they drug ****ed and spent there money just to get high maybe they were gamblers looking to make that win because all the adds told them how good their odds were after I've thought about the possible causes for their homelessness i think about how i could prevent myself from going down those paths. after my extreme mental self counselling session I think I should go give them money or buy them food but sometimes i don't build that courage because there is a tiny feeling of doubt that makes me think that possibly these homeless people don't deserve the money because they may just piss it up the wall like the might have done before that landed them in the situation in the first place but usually I will drop whatever coinage i have in there buckeys and with a slight smile and split second eye contact wish them best of luck with getting their lives back on track.
