Okay so firstly I feel like you should distance yourself a bit but like dont just do it all of a sudden cause y'all are close and the other person is gonna feel it obviously so I think you should tell them that you arent feeling right and you dont really wanna speak for a few days but you'll message them soon and then message again like 1 and a half/2 weeks later and catch up and everything first cause theyll obvs be a bit shook that you messaged in the first place then after the convo dies just tell them that in all honesty you cant be friends anymore and that you just need some space and you hope they understand and that this doesnt mean that you wont be there for them if they need to speak etc and apologize and tell them that maybe you'll can speak again in like a year/2 years time because you just want some space and time rn , insha'allah they'll understand ???
