I feel as if I'm talking to a child and explaining that Santa Claus isn't real. Humans are intelligent, far superior in that aspect than other animals. We come to conclusions to decide that we should not rape/kill/murder, we have the intellect to create peace.

So then If a murder gets their happiness from killing people, who are we to say that he is doing wrong because that's the way he expresses his love towards people? Then we should also respect, as I'm sure you'll agree, if a rapist or pedophile found himself attracted to younger kids, who are we to say that he isn't showing genuine love and affection if that is the way a pedophile expressed his love towards someone? Was Hitler wrong killing six million Jews and if we were a German nazi officer and ordered to kill a family or we'd be shot dead for disobeying an order, would we be right or wrong? You say we are 'intelligent humans' but we allow MILLIONS of babies around the world to be aborted because we 'couldn't be bothered'. There will always be a good excuse for sinning because we are all sinners no matter how 'intelligent' we think we may be. Jesus made a way for us by paying the punishment for our sins.

I am not against anyone. I love everyone because yes, God does say 'love thy neighbour'. I believe no one has the power or right to judge except for God alone. Murdering, lying, cheating, blaspheming etc. is a sin just as homo*exuality is and these are things people do on a daily basis. What we need to realise is that we are sinners and our world is a sinful place. but when God expressed his love by sending his son to earth to sacrifice himself for our iniquities, He made a way to free us from our sins.

I find it funny that you think 'my' grammar is great, when that's a quote by someone called Richard Dawkins who clearly knows more about the bible than a vast majority of Christians. God is love? Yeah, read verses where he kills millions of people.
The best thing about having a relationship with God is learning about Him. Society thinks Christians are supposed to know EVERYTHING about God, but you need to understand that we are still learning. It's not about how much you know, it's about having a relationship with Him and repenting for our sins. In terms of Dawkins, he believes in natural selection which is 'survival of the fittest'. So you tell me, if there is no God, what makes raping/murdering/killing wrong? To understand the concept of the bible you have to first understand God's redemptive plan. You can't just throw verses or concepts of verses without knowing what it's all about. You're just looking through an atheists point of view without looking through the historical context or the significance of the particular time. The bible is 66 books written by individual men under the INSPIRATION of God, written over a vast period. Even though there are different genres and individual historical contexts of every book, God is also revealing himself through scripture and he's unfolding his redemptive plan to mankind. The world is fallen because of sin. He could've just started again but He didn't because he made a way of escape for everybody. So yes, God IS love. And it's your choice whether to believe that or not.

Yes, that is in the bible, but it is also in our times now, so what's the point of posting it 'from the bible' when you can just look around and see the 'disgusting' things happening in today's society? None of that stuff relates to God, and the only way it does is from when God HELPED them. So you can say that things in the bible are disgusting, but it's no different from what's happening now. That's a hard question.
