it's for senior high school!! the k-12 thing is pretty recent and the addition of 2 more years of high school is pretty serious, kinda like college training, so most kids are going to universities already

i guess this is similar to what the other person said about getting into drawing again but i’m curious how to stay motivated. Like, i love drawing but i always have trouble not knowing what i should draw and not feeling satisfied i dunno how to explain this
ahahaha idk what to tell u anon, even professional and expert artists still go thru the same thing unfortunately,,
uhhhh that sounds a lot like art block? in my head there's two types: you have ideas but ur tired and unmotivated, or you wanna draw and have the motivation but ur brain is blanking out and u have no ideas
if its the first one: what i do is that i either take a break from drawing and let my brain refresh (NAPPSSSSS), or i explore other mediums of art and experiment (music, sculpting, traditional realistic still life painting, reading books, etc.)
if it's the second one: maybe listen to ur fave music!!! that helps a lot in letting ur creative juices running. try music from movies (soundtracks) that have a lot of different moods? it really helps in creative visual images in ur head, based on my experience.
u could also try creating to do lists during days where u suddenly have random drawing ideas!! or maybe those drawing prompt memes on tumblr, like those different emotions or different color palettes!

I haven’t drawn in a while, and now that I’m back to it, I’m having a lot of trouble finding my style again and liking my art - do you have any tips?
1) im gonna sound like someone straight out of a harry potter film for a second here but..... you don't find your art style, ur art style finds you..... OR. rather, you just subconsciously find ur own art style the more you grow and develop and find inspirations in multiple different art styles from different artists!!!
so my advice is.. don't worry so much about ur style. it just comes to u, and it just adds unnecessary weight on ur shoulders if u worry!! if ur unsatisfied, add a technique that u like from another artist and try and apply it to ur own art, but don't force urself to make it look exactly like that artist. just..... draw, man. look at things that make u happy and/or inspire u, apply it to ur own art. it's a cycle that even top artists today also follow.
2) hmmm im not sure how to answer the liking ur art part, since i still haven't really figured out how to "like" my own art myself lmao!!! at the end of the day, i nitpick my art, find so many other ways to improve it when ive already posted it, i see so many mistakes and flaws, etc etc...
i guess uhh just realize that u won't ever come to like ur art as much as u want to, at least in the stage of being an amateur and not a professional, but u should try and use those nitpicky comments in ur head as Petty Reasons to try and prove urself wrong cuz fck u @ me!! im gonna fight myself how bout that!!!!

im new to digital art and i saw that u used autodesk sketchbook! any tips for that like how do you create certain textures and things?? ??
oh for like. fabric-like rough textures i kinda use this brush i downloaded on their website (they have a whole list of unique and different brushes used by other great artists that u could download for free, it's amazing), its called the halftone brush set?
and in there, theres a specific brush called "newspaper" and that's what i use to give that sort of rough texture!!
other than that, there isn't really anything else i do for texture that's unique to autodesk sketchbook? so yeah
